What an exciting start to the Spring! TCC has been up to many exciting projects in the last month and I’m so excited to share them here! While this is just the start, it’s an exciting one. In this video, I discuss:
-Summer clinics: Gym to Crag, Lead, Trad, Anchor Building. There are dates specifically for female-identified folx and the LGBTQ+ community.
-Community Climb Days: Look out throughout the summer for dates set for community climb! No experience necessary. We’ll be at a local crag with all the gear and psych you need to step into climbing, spend time with some community, or pick up a few new skills. These days are meant to make climbing and easy “yes”. Community days are donation based, no experience necessary, please bring a friend or two, please stay for a COVID safe tailgate afterwards! Details coming soon.
-WMCC Updates: Board meeting on the 17. Gym 2 Crag the 23rd. Silent Auction March 29- April 3. Speak Series with Melissa Utomo April 8th.
-Hampshire College Social Justice in the Outdoors Workshop! This 4.5 hour event will bring together students, leaders, and educators in the outdoor world to take a deep dive into how Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion have historically been present in the outdoor world, current initiatives working toward the liberation and social change in outdoor spaces, and how can we, as a full-picture community, contribute to a shift in access, power, narratives, and comfort and safety in outdoor recreation and education. This workshop style conversation will be interactive in nature with a combination of panels and facilitated group discussions. It will not be complete without you there! More details soon!
